Three of New Zealand most prominent and experienced writers are featured in this year’s play reading series at the Victoria Theatre.

The Write Stuff by renown screenwriter Greg McGee is about Billy a writer, who’s reliant on teaching scriptwriting for a living and the bottle for oblivion. His sense of self-worth is teetering on the edge when his best friend Mac, a banker, offers him a screenplay to write. But the offer is not all it seems. "Anyone can write, writing is the great free market of artistic expression. There's no exams to pass, no subs to pay, no fees, no licence. It's open slather. Entirely self-regulatory. Like banking."
This is a light-hearted look at the agony of writing.
