Trance. Fieldwork appeared in many folk clubs, pubs and festivals on the folk circuit
in England and, occasionally, France in the eighties and nineties. C-Cat Trance
released several albums on the Ink label, and toured intermittently in Europe during
the same period. Dave relocated to New Zealand in 2008 and has been a Devonport
local for ten years.
His solo material ranges from self-penned songs to versions of traditional songs, to
covers by artists including Neil Young, Nick Drake, Kevin Coyne, Jason Molina,
The Band, Neil Halstead, The Shins, Joe Purdy and Frightened Rabbit.
Dave combines fingerstyle guitar and strumming patterns on his Lowden and
Williams acoustic guitars, which often find themselves in interesting tunings.
